March 18th, 2015, Shanghai -- Wu Guangqi, Vice General Manager of China National Offshore Oil Corporation (hereinafter the “CNOOC”) and Zhang Guohua, Senior Vice President of CNOOC Limited and Director General of CNOOC Donghai Petroleum Administration, visited Hilong on March 15th to inspect the progress of Hilong Group’s preparation for the CNOOC Eastern Sea Offshore Pipe-laying Project, among other senior executives, as well as experts.
The inspection team visited the “Hilong 106” pipe-laying derrick barge and the site of pipeline pre-fabrication in Taicang Port, Jiangsu, after listening to the project progress report at the Hilong headquarters. During the on-site visits, they inspected and reviewed the progress of project management, installation and design, manufacture of composite pipes and insulation pipe sections, assessment of weight coating and welding processes, pre-fabrication of composite pipelines, and submarine pipe-laying plan.
Wu Guangqi, Vice General Manager of CNOOC affirmed Hilong’s efforts for and achievements on the project, and expressed his appreciation of Hilong’s professional capacity.
“In less than half a year, Hilong consecutively won offshore pipe-laying service contracts for two significant projects of CNOOC through open bidding, and we are very happy to see our mutual cooperation continue to expand and deepen.” Hilong Executive President Wang Tao said, “The Eastern Sea Project is on a tight schedule and comes with great difficulty in its construction, but Hilong will continue to make full use of our advantages in offshore engineering and our integrated service resources for pipelines, to overcome difficulties and ensure the successful completion of the project. ”
Present in the meetings were Wang Tao, Executive President of Hilong Group, Xiao Long, Vice President of the Group and General Manager of Hilong Petroleum Offshore Engineering, as well as Xue Zhijun, Vice President of the Group and General Manager of the Pipeline Technology and Services Business.
