April 21, 2016, Shanghai) Recently, Shanghai Hongqiao Hub officially launched a steel viaduct coating maintenance project, this is the first municipal project that Hilong serves as a coating supplier.
With a total maintenance area of 40,000 square meters, the project has seven steel box girders, among which the first one covers a coating area of 2,800 square meters. The steel box girders will effectively increase the properties of safety and durability after coating application , as well as improving the city landscape, and making easier for future maintenance and cleaning.
Ren Weidong, Vice President of Hilong Group and General Manager of Hilong New Materials Division, said that the preparation work started at the end of last year, and the team conducted a series of product tests and experiments, including the pull test of old coating film as well as the pull test etween fresh and old coating films, and the final results have been approved by owner and the contractor.
“Hongqiao Hub, as a comprehensive transportation center and a landmark building in Shanghai, is a window to the world,” he said, “We believe that the project will greatly increase the awareness of our brand and the recognition on the excellent quality of our coatings.”
